Skoda has one of the richest histories in the world of motoring, being established in 1859. Skoda began by making bicycles, before moving onto the design and manufacture of motorbikes - with the first motorbike created, being designed with the engine mounted on the handlebars. 1905 saw Skoda begin to make cars, with Skoda becoming the market leader in the design in cars by 1930.

As with all European motor companies, war breaking out in 1939 disturbed production - and the German occupation of Czechoslovakia meant that the Skoda factory was switched from motor vehicle production, to military component production. Motor car production returned after the war, until the collapse of communism. When communism collapsed, 30% of Skoda was purchased by Volkswagen - who increased their share steadily until 1995, when they purchased 70% of Skoda.

During this time the reputation of Skoda grew and grew, improving massively - and by 2005 Skoda was selling over 30,000 cars into the UK
marketplace each year. The brand has continued to go from strength to strength, releasing new high quality models which share their technology and underpinnings with other vehicles from the Volkswagen group.

Today the range encompasses city cars such as the Citgo, the famous Fabia, new SUV models such as the Karoq, Kodiaq and Kamiq - as well as variants of the fantastic Octavia and Superb. Regardless of your motoring requirements, there is the right Skoda for you.

At Simply Car Mats, we speak to many happy Skoda motorists who trust us to supply their vehicle with the highest quality tailored car mats and boot mats - which not only protect the interior of the vehicle, but also keep the inside of the car looking and feeling smart.

We have gone to great efforts to design and manufacture a range of mats which fit each vehicle perfectly, this ensures that the mat sits in place - protecting the interior of the vehicle perfectly, whilst also remaining in place, so they do not move around like ‘universal fitting’ mats do, which can dangerously ride up under pedals, causing a huge driving distraction.
